Michal  has extensive experience in performance, composition and teaching.
An inductee into the Australian music scene, he has spent most of his career to date in Europe where he has won many accolades for his compositions and teaching, as well as being principal Flautist with Opole Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland, member of ESPRIT Flute Trio and a flute teacher in Chopin State School of Music in Opole. He holds a doctoral degree from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in Australia.
     Michal has been a recipient of the Polish Ministry of Culture Scholarship and Australian Postgraduate Award.
At the age of 18 Michal gave his debut as a soloist and composer by performing his composition “Adagio & Scherzo” for flute and orchestra with the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra in Katowice/Poland. He has also appeared as a soloist with the Capella Cracoviensis, Chamber Philharmonia Cologne and the Queensland Pops Orchestra. He has been a Principal Flute with Queensland Festival Philharmonic and Queensland Pops Orchestra and he appeared as a guest flautist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Camerata of St John, Adelaide Art Orchestra and the Queensland Pops Orchestra. Since 2017 Michal has been a member of Resonance Ensemble.
He has appeared as a performer and composer at the Australian Flute Festivals in Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra. In 2019 he was awarded 1st Prize for his composition The In-Flight Entertainer at the Australian Flute Festival in Sydney.
In January 2015 Michal was an Artist-in-Residence at the Banff Centre in Canada and in June 2016 he undertook the residency at the Bundanon Trust (NSW)
    Michal is an Associate Artist with the Australian Music Centre and his music has been performed in Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Belgium, Russia, United States, New Zealand and Australia and has also been broadcast by ABC Classic.

    Currently, Michal is a lecturer in music theory and composition at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in Brisbane (Australia) and a flute teacher at several colleges in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
